Auditor’s Responsibilities for the Audit of the Financial StatementsOur objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free frommaterial misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes our opinion.Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance but is not a guarantee that an audit conducted in accordance with ISAswill always detect a material misstatement when it exists. Misstatements can arise from fraud or error and are consideredmaterial if, individually or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be expected to influence the economic decisions ofusers taken on the basis of these financial statements. As part of an audit in accordance with ISAs, we exercise professional judgement and maintain professional scepticismthroughout the audit. We are also:• Identify and assess the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to fraud or error, design and perform audit procedures responsive to those risks, and obtain audit evidence that is sufficient andappropriate to provide a basis for our opinion. The risk of not detecting a material misstatement resulting fromfraud is higher than for one resulting from error, as fraud may involve collusion, forgery, intentional omissions, misrepresentations, or the override of internal control.• Obtain an understanding of internal control relevant to the audit in order to design audit procedures that areappropriate in the circumstances, but not for the purpose of expressing an opinion on the effectiveness of theCompany’s internal control.• Evaluate the appropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of accounting estimates andrelated disclosures made by the directors.• Conclude on the appropriateness of the directors’ use of the going concern basis of accounting and based onthe audit evidence obtained, whether a material uncertainty exists related to events or conditions that may castsignificant doubt on the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern. If we conclude that a materialuncertainty exists, we are required to draw attention in our auditor’s report to the related disclosures in thefinancial statements or, if such disclosures are inadequate, to modify our opinion. Our conclusions are based onthe audit evidence obtained up to the date of our auditor’s report. However, future events or conditions may causethe Company to cease to continue as a going concern. 01 Jan 2023 – 31 Dec 2023

CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTSfor the year ended 31 December 2023STATEMENT OF DIRECTORS’ RESPONSIBILITYActuary Online Proprietary Limited’s (“the company”) and its subsidiaries (“the group”) directors are requiredby the Companies Act 71 of 2008 to maintain adequate accounting records and to prepare financial statementsfor each financial year which fairly present the state of affairs of the company and group at the end of thefinancial year and the operating results and cash flows for the year. In preparing the accompanying financialstatements, International Financial Reporting Standards have been followed, suitable accounting policies havebeen used, reasonable estimates have been made and the South African Companies Act 71 of 2008 has beencomplied with. Any changes to accounting policies are approved by the board of directors and the effectsthereof are fully explained in the annual financial statements. The financial statements incorporate full andresponsible disclosure in line with the group and company’s philosophy on corporate governance. The directors have reviewed the group and company’s budgets and cash flow forecasts for the next twelvemonths. On the basis of this review, and in the light of the current financial position and existing borrowingfacilities, the directors have no reason to believe that the company and group will not be a going concern in theyear to the next reporting date and have continued to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financialstatements. The directors are responsible for the group and company’s system of internal control, which includes internalfinancial controls that are designed to provide reasonable, not absolute, assurance against materialmisstatements and loss. The group and company maintain financial controls to provide assurance regarding:?the safeguarding of assets against unauthorised use or disposition; and?the maintenance of proper accounting records and the reliability of financial information within thebusiness or for publication. The controls contain mechanisms to identify and correct deficiencies as they arise. Even an effective systemof internal control, no matter how well designed, has inherent limitations, including the possibility ofcircumvention or the overriding of controls. An effective system of internal control, therefore, aims to providereasonable assurance with respect to the reliability of financial information and, in particular, financialstatements presentation. Further, because of changes in conditions, the effectiveness of internal controls mayvary over time. The annual financial statements were prepared by Andre Wild. The annual financial statements have been audited in compliance with the requirements of Section 30(2)(b)(ii)of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 by the company’s auditors, Deloitte & Touche.APPROVAL OF ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTSThe annual financial statements and group annual financial statements set out on pages 8 to 37 were approvedby the board of directors on 26 June 2024 and are signed on its behalf by:____________________________________________________________________________________Ant Lester 01 Jan 2023 – 31 Dec 2023
